Here we are again!

This Sunday, October 10th, sees the start of the work in the town on the 2021 lights. Our first Sunday - of six - sees us testing about a third of the wall anchors, to ensure they are safe and secure. This year, it is the anchors for the wires which support the big set pieces, up to five cross street cables each which form a network to take the load.

As ever, we do apologise for the delays which inevitably occur when working overhead. The tester is a heavy and slow piece of kit, but essential to ensure that each anchor is secure.

There won’t be any of the installation put up this week, but next week we will start with the installation proper.
